Interview with RT on the First Day of the Impeachment Trial of the VP of the Philippines – July 6, 2026

Interview with RT (Russia Today) at 6:00 PM today regarding the first day (July 6, 2026, Monday) of the Impeachment Trial of the Vice President of the Philippines, Sara Duterte, where the Senate formally sits as an impeachment court.

As of Monday, July 6, 2026, the Senate is scheduled to convene as an impeachment court earlier around 2 p.m. for the trial of Vice President Sara Duterte. She has been ordered to appear in person or through counsel. The first day included the House prosecutors’ formal presentation of the Articles of Impeachment, the defense team’s entry of appearance, and the setting or confirmation of trial rules, timetable, pleadings, and witnesses and evidence presentation and opening statement from the presiding officer of the impeachment court (Senate), that of the prosecution, and the defense team of VP Duterte.
