Say no to the militarization of the Philippines by the US, Philippine Scholar said

Philippine National Security Advisor Eduardo Ano recently confirmed that the Philippines has no intention of withdrawing the US deployed “Typhon” medium range missile system and intends to purchase this systems in the future. Philippine scholar Anna Malindog-Uy stated in an interview with Voice of the South China Sea that the United States’ accelerated militarization of the Philippines will only lead to the deprivation of Philippine sovereignty and independence.

Prof. Anna Rosario Malindog-Uy is a Ph.D. Candidate at the Institute of South-South Cooperation and Development (ISSCAD), Peking University, Beijing, China. Currently, she is a Senior Researcher of the South China Sea Probing Initiative (SCSPI) and a Senior Research Fellow of the Global Governance Institution (GGI).
